Infographic on Prohibited Activities on Water Service Connection is Made Available for you

This infographic was conceptualized due to quite a large number of prohibited activities reported in the office from the month of January to August this year. Based from the data collected by the Commercial Services Division, there are about 201 concessionaires/accounts that were reported to be involved in these illegal activities. 58 male registrants, 49 female registrants, and 7 from companies and corporate entities tallying to a total of 114 accounts were found to have committed illegal activities in their water service connections.

The realization of this Infographic aims to meet the following objectives: to promote awareness to the public – especially those who may not be aware – regarding these Types of Illegal Activities in Water Service Connections; to lessen the expenses and burden of the working men and women concessionaires of paying the penalties prescribed for these illegal acts; and to lessen Non-revenue Water.

A fine ranging from Five Thousand Pesos ( P 5,000.00) to Ten Thousand Pesos (P 10,000.00) and/or additional penal measures will be imposed upon any person being caught doing these prohibited acts. A reward ranging from Two Thousand (P 2,000. 00) to Five Thousand Pesos (P 5,000.00) per account shall be given to tipsters who willingly cooperate with the District to penalize those who commit these illegal activities.

The District hopes that in better informing the public, the incidents of Prohibited Activities will be lessened, if not eliminated all-together.
