The MNWD Family Welcomes Director Lily Claveria

Another outstanding woman became the new Women Sector Representative in the Metropolitan Naga Water District Board of Directors.

Mrs. Monina Lily A. Claveria, CESO IV has been sworn to office on the 27th of December, 2016 by Naga City Mayor, Hon. John G. Bongat.

Our newest Director is highly capable in Strategic Planning, Project Management, Client Relations, and Development and Leadership. Her skills and experiences in Conducting Feasibility Studies, Employee Training, and Consultancy in Government and Private Sector Projects, makes her a very welcome addition to the MNWD Board of Directors.

She served as the Assistant Regional Director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for over 7 years, serving as Provincial Director for DTI Region 5 for 2 years prior to said position. She also served as Chief Trade and Industry Development Specialist for the Program Development Division of DTI RO 5; Division Chief for the Organization and Institutional Development Division of the National Cottage Industries Development Authority (NACIDA) RO 5; and Provincial Officer for NACIDA Camarines Norte.

Dir. Nene – as she is fondly called – is also a celebrated Educator, having been in the industry for more than 27 years including being the Assistant Professor in both the School of Graduate Studies and the College of Education, as well as in other Departments, in the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC). She was also Chairperson in the Curriculum Committee in UNC.

She also served as a Project Officer in the CIDA PEARL Project of Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) for a year; and as a Project Consultant for the Women in Entrepreneurial Development (WEDA) of TESDA and the City Government of Naga for 3 years.

Dir. Nene was also the recipient of many awards and merits including a Certificate of Commendation from the Office of the President of the Philippines Thru the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Poverty Alleviation, NGO/ PO and Cooperative Affairs in 1996, and the Kaantabay Award For Distinguished Service in the development efforts of maximizing public-private sector partnership given by the MNCCI in 1993.

With all these experiences and achievements, MNWD Board’s Women Sector will no doubt pose for another period of merits and excellent work.
