MNWD: Better and Stronger post Team Building 2019

Team building activities not only promote teamwork and camaraderie but, are likewise designed to provide unique and fun ways to develop character, values, and skills.

On May 4 to 5, 2019, the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) held its annual Team Building activity at the Coastal View Beach Resort, Sto. Domingo, Albay with 355 employees in attendance including the Board of Directors – Chairman Jorge T. Palma, Michael R. Pauig, and Gilbert N. Albero.

The two-day event showcased several activities aimed to establish a positive team culture and spirit; increase communication and learn new strategies to address individual differences; align participants to their shared purpose; foster positive individual and working values; and reinforce commitment to the MNWD goals.

As a jumpstart, the participants enjoyed the Zumba Dance followed by the fun activities such as Knee Trembler, Bata, Bahay, Bagyo, and Roe’s Chant to name a few. Also, each employee had the chance to reflect on their individual differences, strengthen collaborative communication, manage conflict as well as reemphasize their commitment as public servants.

The activities definitely helped in revealing individual strengths and weaknesses and how they can work together to develop strategies under pressure, thereby, achieving the primary purpose of the said activity.

Spearheaded by the Human Resource Division, the team building activity sought to develop and empower each employee through personal and social skills that will enable the MNWD community to act as one cohesive team, interdependent and cooperative to meet the needs of the public while achieving the goals of the organization.
