MNWD’s 37th Anniversary and Year-end Assessment

The event on the 9th of December gave the men and women of MNWD a chance to have fun, socialize, and celebrate. The Metropolitan Naga Water District’s Year-end Assessment and its annual commemoration of its Anniversary was started with a Holy Mass celebration. The employees and management offered their thanksgiving to the Lord for all the blessings throughout the year.

The Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME HRM) Presentation went next, led by the respective Committee Heads of the Personnel Selection Board, Performance Management Team, MNWD PRAISE, and Personnel Development Committee. Mr. Ricardo B. Felix III, Ms. Emma A. Cuyo, and Ms. Virginia I. Nero briefed the employees regarding the processes involved in the committees they headed.

After a short break, the Program resumed to the Launching of the Official MNWD Newsletter, “BULOS” and the Public Relations and External Affairs Section’s (PREAS) Audio Visual Presentation. The PREAS OIC, Mrs. Maide D. Sison, encouraged the employees’ engagement not only towards contributions to the Newsletter but also concerning the section’s other plans and programs.

The MNWD’s 2016 Year-end Report followed right after. Mr. Vicente Aniceto D. Rubio discussed the District’s accomplishments for the whole year. He discussed all the goals that were met and even surpassed by the District. The first half of the day was concluded with a sumptuous lunch and a mid-day break.

The afternoon session commenced with a larger crowd. General Manager Cesar H. Federizon welcomed everyone with his Opening Remarks, followed by a Message from the Board of Director Chairman, Aquiles D. Lo.

The awarding of the Public Awareness Campaign Winners for the Poster Making, Photo Walk, Mascot Design Making, and Video Contests was also held, as well as, some recognitions for employees.

There was also a surprise farewell for Director Socorro B. Felix. A tribute video containing some of the beloved Director’s moments in her 18 years of service to the District and a serenade expressed the District’s gratitude for her.

Representatives from the different Divisions competed and entertained in a “the Voice” singing contest sponsored by the generous members of the Metropolitan Naga Water District Employees Union (MNWDEU).

The Awards and Recognitions for outstanding Employees and Retirees continued including the hand-over ceremonies of the 201 Files to the Retirees by Civil Service Commission Camarines Sur Field Officer, Dir. Jocelyn L. Marifosque. Director Jorge T. Palma gave his closing remarks signaling the end of the Program Proper and the start of the Raffle and Parlor Games led by the Office of the General Manager staff.

The men and women of the District enjoyed as they played rounds of different games and excitedly waited for their names to be called in the raffle draws. The Program ended a little over 5 with the smiles and laughter of the crowd.
