PNP conducts orientation on public safety in MNWD

In support of the government’s mandate to eradicate the use of illegal drugs, the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) gladly accommodated the Philippine National Police-Naga City Police Office (NCPO) conduct of an awareness orientation to the employees of the water district.

After the flag ceremony on June 19, 2017, PO2 Honesto Murillo, Jr. of the Secretariat, Oversight Committee on Illegal Drugs, NCPO, started with an advice for the employees to cooperate with each other, to be concerned about each other’s welfare and for the entire community. He enjoined all to work together, to keep communication lines open, and to help educate each other.

He then shared to the water district personnel the devastating effects of illegal drug abuse. Public servants should stay away from substance abuse because they become unproductive at the least, he added.

Officer Murillo encouraged everyone to report to police and to always coordinate with law enforcers any information involving illegal drugs activity.

The Women Police Bikers were introduced to the assembly. These policewomen on bikes may give assistance to citizens in matters of public order and they are: PO1 Kempher Ann P. Marjalino; PO1 Abhe May M. Mangapo; PO1 Judith B. Mogar; PO1 Joan P. Moral; PO1 Shaine B. Felizmenio; PO1 Karen Mae C. Espinueva.

On the same day, the police officers set up an information desk inside the MNWD building. For two hours, they entertained concerns of customers about public safety and order.
