Title: New Lateral Lines for Casuray, Magarao Residents

Residents of Casuray, Magarao, Camarines Sur now enjoys the clean and refreshing water from the recently completed water lines opened for application of new water service connection end of 2015.

Four Hundred Eighty (480) households are expected to benefit from this 1,700 linear meter lateral line with a pipe size of 100mm lay along the Barangay main road.

This joint project was made possible thru the Local Government Unit of Magarao headed by its resourceful Mayor, Hon. Salvador A. Señar, Jr, utilizing funds from the SALINTUBIG Program and Grassroots Participatory Budgeting Program 2014 of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The Phase I & II of the project was provided with labor counterpart by MNWD pursuant to Board Resolution No. 62-1, Series 2014.

The Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig sa Lahat Program (SALINTUBIG) is one of the government’s main action in addressing the plight of Filipino households in the 455 municipalities nationwide identified by National anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) as waterless areas whose access to safe water is less than 50%, wherein the LGU Magarao was selected as one of the beneficiaries.

The Program aims to contribute to the attainment of the goal of providing potable water to the entire country and the targets defined in the Philippine Development Plan 2011-2016 Millennium Development Goals (MDG), and the Philippine Water Supply Sector Roadmap and the Philippine Sustainable Sanitation Roadmap.
