MNWD Applauds New Leadership under Engr. Ver Luansing

The Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) stands strong and beaming with pride as we beat the drum for our new Acting General Manager Engr. Virgilio B. Luansing I.

A true-blooded Bicolano, Engr. Luansing or Ver among his friends and colleagues, carries 16 solid years of professional experience in the private sector and about 15 commendable years in MNWD.

Prior to his role as Acting General Manager, Ver has exhibited indispensable leadership as Division Manager A of MNWD’s Planning, Design, and Construction Division and OIC, Environment and Water Resource Division. He exemplifies a leader whose motivation is equipped with hard work and passion to deliver consistency and excellence. His extensive training and professional enhancement range from technical to administrative and institutional.

Engr. Luansing is a graduate of the University of Nueva Caceres with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s in Public Administration at the Naga College Foundation. He is also an active member of professional, civic, and religious organizations such as Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA), and Cofradia De San Jose—Guardias De Maria to name a few.

During his speech at the General Assembly last February 21, 2018,AGM Luansing I sincerely asked for everyone’s support and emphasized how performance at work translates into better opportunities and a promising future for the family. He said, “Ano man ang magiging achievement kan opisina, mareflect iyan sa pamilya. Pag maray an trabaho, maray an opisina, maray si satuyang mga aki, matatawan maray na futuro.”

Married to Nida Nellasca Luansing and a proud father of four, Ver enjoys practical shooting, biking, and spending time with family off work.

His humble beginnings back in 2006, when he joined the water industry has finally merited immense success and fulfillment. His new role as Acting General Manager sees optimism and a compelling perspective to the MNWD’s future. (Auria S. Gonzales)
